Travelers from these nations can now apply for an eTA (electronic Travel Authorization) rather than a visa while entering Canada if they have held a Canadian visa within the previous ten years or presently hold a valid United States non-immigrant visa.

For foreign nationals traveling to Canada without a visa, an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is necessary. A traveler’s passport and an eTA are electronically linked.It is valid for a maximum of five years or until the passport expires, whichever occurs first. A new eTA is required if you get a new passport.
